A Big Need in Mental Health

For many, depression medication proves effective. However, for 10-30% of individuals, their medications eventually become ineffective, resulting in treatment-resistant depression. This is the problem Dr. Carreon is addressing.

Innovative Treatment from The Stanford Brain Stimulation Lab

Dr. Carreon, a Stanford-trained psychiatrist, found hope for treatment-resistant depression through innovative research at the Stanford Brain Stimulation Lab. He pioneered Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), a non-invasive treatment, reducing the standard six-week therapy to just five days.

Based on this research and Dr. Carreon’s unwavering commitment, he founded the Acacia Research Center along with the Acacia Clinic, which has conducted more five-day accelerated treatments than any other organization in the world.
